Welcome! The Laboratory of Human Health and Behavior is a new collaborative lab in the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences at Baylor University. The lab encompasses the research of two PI's with unique but synergistic research interests. Together, they study effects of the gut-brain axis on behavior and cancer biology.

Areas of interest and research: Elucidating the relationship between diet, the microbiome and colon cancer etiology, delineating the dietary factors that modify the microbiome and its function, developing microbial multi-omic classifiers that improve stratification of patients for colon cancer treatment, and identifying key functional pathways and mechanisms of the microbiota-host communication
